Homemade Pesto
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh basil (can substitute half with baby spinach)
- 1/2 cup parmesan or romano cheese
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/3 cup nuts of choice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
Instructions
Place basil and nuts into food processor and pulse several times. Add garlic and cheese and pulse again. Use spatula to scoop down sides.
While food processor is running, slowly add olive oil. Then, add salt and pepper and pulse to combine.
Serve over pasta, as a sandwich condiment, or a savory addition to a charcuterie board!
